For years, packagers have bemoaned the lack of a standard benchmark to compare packaging line performance. OEE promises to change all this by offering a single number that could theoretically allow apples-to-apples comparison between different packaging lines at the same or different companies.
One of the goals of the workshop is to standardize the way OEE numbers are calculated for packaging lines, opening the door to the creation of a multi-industry, multi-product benchmarking database for packaging line OEE.
We intend to create this database, allowing attendees to submit, anonymously, their OEE numbers and compare it against a category or industry average.
A huge benefit of the workshop is to help contribute to the creation of this database.
